58 Bahama Circle has become one of the most talked about addresses in Tampa.
It started in 2012, when Yankees legend Derek Jeter bought the custom-designed Davis Islands estate. At 22,000 square feet, it remains one of the city’s largest waterfront homes.
Jeter later rented the place to seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady and his then-wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen.
In 2021, Jeter sold the home to a mysterious trust for a record-breaking $22.5 million. Within two years, a local construction firm announced plans to demolish the house and build an even bigger one for a local Tampa family.
The redesign was featured in a spread in Tampa magazine. It was supposed to include six bedrooms, nine full bathrooms, 11 half-bathrooms, a gym, a swimming pool and expansive green space.
But it never took shape.
From the street, the gargantuan mansion appears completely untouched, its grey brick facade and ornate stone columns still standing strong.
Ellison Construction filed a demolition permit in 2022. It expired in 2023 and no new permits have been filed since. The company’s owner, Casey Ellison, did not respond to requests for comment.
The owner of the home listed on the deed is “Zebb.com Trust.”
Zebb.com is a now-defunct cryptocurrency app that allowed people to invest Indian rupees into bitcoin.
That trust receives a homestead tax exemption on the home, meaning it is someone’s primary residence. But who actually lives there?
Local healthcare entrepreneur and philanthropist Sidd Pagidipati and his wife Ami Pagidipati have been registered at that address since 2023.
Pagidpaiti did not respond to requests for comment for this story.
