THIS IS HARRISON WEINBERG AND HIS FATHER, MICHAEL, AND FOR THE PAST WEEK, THEY’VE BEEN BUSY TRYING TO GET SUPPLIES TO JAMAICA FAST. AFTER THE DEVASTATING HURRICANE. MELISSA. THE PEOPLE IN JAMAICA, THEY REALLY NEED THIS HELP. BECAUSE, LIKE LOSING YOUR HOUSE, THAT MUST BE DEVASTATING. NOT JUST YOUR HOUSE, ALL YOUR BELONGINGS, CORE MEMORIES. THE IDEA BEHIND THE FLIGHTS STARTED EARLIER THIS WEEK AFTER HARRISON SUGGESTED TO HIS DAD THEY NEEDED TO HELP THE ISLAND AFTER THE STORM TORE THROUGH. FROM THERE, HIS DAD, MICHAEL, STARTED MAKING SOME CALLS AND BEFORE THEY KNEW IT, THEY HAD A SEMI TRUCK HEADED FROM PORT SAINT LUCIE DOWN TO MIAMI, FILLED WITH SUPPLIES TO LOAD ONTO A CARGO PLANE HEADED TO JAMAICA AND. MORE FOLLOW. WE HAVE 18 FLIGHTS SCHEDULED OVER THE NEXT WEEK. NOT ALL. NOT ALL ARE SUPPLIES. BUT YOU KNOW, WE’VE BEEN CONTACTED BY A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE DESIRE AND THEY HAVE THE SUPPLIES, BUT THEY DON’T HAVE THE RESOURCES TO TRUCK THE MATERIAL AND FLY THE MATERIAL. NOW THE OPERATION IS IN FULL SWING, AND THE FATHER AND SON DUO ARE NOW ASKING FOR THE COMMUNITY’S HELP. ON YOUR SCREEN, YOU CAN SEE SPOTS AND TIMES THEY NEED PEOPLE TO DROP OFF MUCH NEEDED SUPPLIES LIKE CANNED FOOD, HYGIENE PRODUCTS, TARPS, AND BABY FORMULA.
