Fluff Animal Rescue needs volunteers

Fluff Animal Rescue, whose mission is to take animals on a journey from lonely and unloved to a forever family, is actively seeking volunteers for various opportunities at its Pinellas Park location.

Tasks include walking dogs, greeting guests, assisting with donations, answering phones, cleaning kennels, fundraising and transporting animals. Volunteers are also needed at offsite events and fundraisers to represent the organization at a Fluff table or to curate raffles and auctions.

Participants must be 18 years or older and all applicants are required to attend an in-person volunteer orientation.

Fluff Animal Rescue is located at 7400 62nd Terrace N., Pinellas Park.

Keep Pinellas Beautiful office garden workday

Keep Pinellas Beautiful, which organizes hundreds of garden workdays and cleanups throughout the county each year, is holding a workday for its own garden at the Keep Pinellas Beautiful office, Sunday, June 28 from 9 a.m. until noon.

Volunteers will assist Keep Pinellas Beautiful staff with planting native species. Anyone under the age of 18 must be signed in by a parent, and anyone under 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the event.

It is recommended to wear closed toe shows, weather appropriate clothing and sun protection.

Planting supplies will be provided and a water refill station will be available. Parking is free.

12th Annual Love McKinley Dinner and Charity Golf Tournament

The Love McKinley Fund, in partnership with Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, works to improve resources available to families throughout their course of treatment for pediatric cancer.

The organization will be hosting a dinner and auction Friday, July 17 at 7 p.m. at the St. John Bosco Center for the Arts at St. Petersburg Catholic High School, followed by its 12th annual charity golf tournament at Bardmoor Golf Course with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m.

St. Petersburg Catholic High School is located at 6333 9th Avenue N., St. Petersburg. Bardmoor Golf & Tennis Club is located at 8001 Cumberland Road, Seminole.

Art Therapy volunteer opportunity

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital is seeking creative and passionate volunteers who are interested in support art therapy activities. It is ideal for those who are artistic or love being involved with the arts.

Assignments may include facilitating art-based activities, leading small group sessions or supporting participants during class. Teachers, or those interested in teaching, are encouraged to lead a class or activity.

Volunteers must be 16 years or older and commit to at least a few hours per week. A background check and attending an orientation are required.

Volunteer with Oldsmar Organic Community Garden

The Oldsmar Organic Community Garden is a nonprofit organization founded in 2011 that offers raised bed gardening plots to the community and provides educational information about organic gardening.

Volunteer opportunities include planting, weeding, mulching, cultivating, harvesting edible and non-edible organic plants and other garden projects throughout the year.

Hours worked can be used towards school credits, business credits, court ordered credits, scout groups and more.

Volunteers must be 14 years and older and are asked to work at least a few hours per month. Training is provided.

The Oldsmar Organic Community Garden is located in Bicentennial Park, 423 Lafayette Boulevard, Oldsmar.
