• I am ticked off that though the Sentinel’s reporting has been very clear that the proposed property tax amendment applies to homesteaded properties only, not investment (rental) properties, despite its best efforts, that too many will still vote emotionally rather than informedly. As always.

• I agree that it is absurd that our so-called leaders want to keep jamming more professional sports teams here. If the Kia Center is an example, they plop the required stadiums in some of the busiest parts of town, so that whenever there is a game, traffic in the area is a mess. Not every city has to be a big sports town.  If over 1,000 people are moving here each day, then maybe those who want lots of professional sports should consider another area that already has them.

• I’m ticked off at people who are too lazy to return their shopping carts to nearby bins or back to the store.

• I’m ticked off that I am so old now I can no longer tell my children that they’re putting me in an early grave.

The flip side

• Thank you to Maria at Carrabba’s Italian Grill on South Semoran Boulevard by the airport. She was our server and was very pleasant, efficient and polite. The food is very consistent and they have a great selection of fun drinks such as the limoncello spritz, espresso martini and blackberry sangria.

• Once again, Sentinel photographer Joe Burbank has delighted us with his beautiful picture of an anhinga drying off. His photos are treasures.
