Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Vasey of Jacksonville are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Raymond Vasey and the former Janet Hess were married June 20, 1976, at Grace United Methodist Church by the Rev. Ron Colton.
They have two children, Michael (Kate) Vasey of Indiana and Jonathan Vasey of Jacksonville. They also have three grandchildren, Clara, Grace and Ben, all of Indiana.
Ray worked in information technology his entire career, with 17 years at John Deere Life and more than 30 years at CSC/DXC. Janet worked as a business office technician for Memorial Physician Services for 15 years. Now retired, they enjoy gardening, traveling and the joyful opportunities to follow their grandchildren’s activities.
Along with a family gathering to celebrate their anniversary, Ray and Janet are making a return trip to Branson, Missouri, where they spent their honeymoon.
