Forget the protest signs. As America approaches its 250th anniversary, the nationwide No Kings movement is trading marches for music this weekend.
While President Donald Trump celebrates his 80th birthday with a UFC fight on the White House South Lawn during America’s 250th anniversary festivities, protesters are gathering around a celebrity-filled political concert in New York City that will be streamed to watch parties nationwide.
On Sunday, June 14, people across the country will tune in to “Rise Up, Sing Out: A Concert for the First Amendment,” a star-studded livestream celebrating free speech, democracy and civic engagement. From living rooms and community centers to local businesses, supporters will gather for an evening of performances, community and conversation.
In the Jacksonville area, residents can join the Jax Beaches Watch Party and be part of a nationwide audience watching artists, activists and public figures come together to spotlight the freedoms protected by the First Amendment.

What is ‘Rise Up, Sing Out’? When is the next No Kings protest?
Rather than organizing a fourth nationwide “No Kings” protest on Sunday, June 14, 2026, the Committee for the First Amendment (CFA) will present “Rise Up, Sing Out: A Concert for the First Amendment,” a 90-minute benefit featuring speeches and performances. The event celebrates Americans’ fundamental rights to free speech, religious freedom, peaceful assembly, and protest as protected by the First Amendment.
Who will perform at the ‘Rise Up, Sing Out’ concert this weekend?
The nationally livestreamed “Rise Up, Sing Out: A Concert for the First Amendment” will bring together an array of entertainers, activists and public figures. Hosted by the Committee for the First Amendment, the event will feature appearances by Jane Fonda, Patti Smith, Bette Midler, Rufus Wainwright, Joy Reid, Wilson Cruz and Broadway Inspirational Voices, along with additional special guests.
According to organizers, the concert is designed to celebrate the freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment while inspiring civic participation through music, storytelling and community engagement.

The concert is scheduled to take place at The Town Hall in New York City at 7:30 p.m. ET on Sunday evening. From churches to breweries, there are close to 500 watch parties planned all across the country in red states and blue, with several thousand people signed up to watch from home, according to concert organizers.
