If you’re staying at a Disney hotel in the EPCOT Resort area, you need to prepare yourself.
There’s a lot of construction happening in that section of Disney World right now, and if you’ve got a trip coming up soon, you’ll want to know what to expect ahead of time. Let’s chat refurbishments!
Disney’s Beach Club Resort
Starting things out at the Beach Club, the Disney World website notes that this hotel is undergoing “visible exterior maintenance” through late 2027. This will impact views from various locations across the resort and sometimes will require guests to take alternate travel paths to get around.
You may also see or hear construction during the daytime hours, so keep that in mind if you’re a midday nap kind of person. We’ve spotted a decent amount of scaffolding on the exterior of the hotel in recent months.

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
Similarly, over at the Yacht Club — the Beach Club’s sister resort — there will be exterior maintenance through late 2026. This will also impact views from around the resort and occasionally require visitors to take alternate pathways.
In addition, Yachtsman Steakhouse, the hotel’s signature dining location, is temporarily closed for refurbishment. This closure is scheduled to last through August 2026.
At this time, no other amenities at the hotel should be impacted due to these projects.
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
Now, if you really want to chat about construction, we’ve got to head across Crescent Lake to the BoardWalk. There are a BUNCH of projects happening at this resort currently, so buckle up. Firstly, it’s also undergoing exterior maintenance through late 2026. Disney states, “While Guests may see or hear work during daytime hours, most Resort amenities—including dining, recreation, and merchandise locations—will remain available.”
Starting on January 11th, 2027 and running through April 2027, the Luna Park Pool, Luna Park Crazy Play Area, and Leaping Horse Libations will close for routine maintenance. During this time, guests will likely see and hear construction during the day. The Villas Pool and the Inn Pool will remain open throughout the closure for regular use.
The BoardWalk has also seen several closures recently that could impact your stay. Jellyrolls, the dueling pianos bar, closed in April 2025 and is moving to an off-property location. In 2026, we’ve seen substantial construction happening at its former home, including the removal of the marquee. Disney hasn’t yet revealed what will be replacing Jellyrolls.
In January 2024, Big River Grille & Brewing Works closed at the BoardWalk, and the restaurant sat empty for more than two years afterward. A project titled “Project Amazon” has been filed with the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District for this location, so it seems updates will be coming soon.
Big River Grille and Brewing Works
The other major change in this area was the closure of Promenade Fine Art Gallery in October 2025. It’s set to move to a new location, but a project has been filed for its old home titled “Project Bubbles.” It’s likely that there will be ongoing construction at this location.
But that’s not all…there’s one more big closure happening in the EPCOT area.
Disney Skyliner
Last but not least, the Disney Skyliner will have its annual routine maintenance from January 24th-30th, 2027. During that time, complimentary bus transportation will be available to the locations it services.
Disney Skyliner at International Gateway Station at EPCOT
While there is no Skyliner station directly at the EPCOT area hotels, there is a station at the International Gateway entrance of EPCOT, which offers easy access to the transportation system for those staying at BoardWalk, Beach Club, and Yacht Club.
Those are all the major construction projects and closures we know about so far, but more could be added in the future. We’ll keep you in the loop if the list grows, so subscribe to our newsletter for the latest.
