The Miami Hurricanes already have one of the most stacked recruiting class in recent history and they continue to add star like quaility players to their recruiting class.

Now a new addition has been made. The Miami Hurricanes land the commitment of one of the top 0 safties in the nation and local talent, Andre Hyppolite.

The North Miami Beach native stands at 6-foot-1, and he has proven to be a star early in his football career. He committed to the Hurricanes over other interested schools, including Notre Dame, Florida, and Georgia, among others that wanted the star safety.

“I put my trust in the coaches, and I believe in them to get me to where I want to be on and off the field,” Hyppolite told 247Sports.

This past season as a junior, he totaled five interceptions on defense, four touchdown catches on offense, and also served as a return man on special teams. He was everything, and this upcoming season, he’s expected to play quarterback.

This is another blue-chip recruit for the Canes. Ninth total in the 2027 class so far.

What This Move Means?

This class is starting to fill in future holes that will be gone over the next two seasons. Miami’s defense is fairly young, as are its star players. Safety-wise, the Canes starting players are all sophomores or juniors who could and will play for another season, and are already in a strong spot. But the question is, can this talent also take over, similar to the ones this season, to be future stars for the Canes?

The Hurricanes already have depth at the safety and DB room, but it also helps that younger talent is also taking advantage of these opportunities as well.

Miami will go on to try to get the rest of one of the most talented classes in program history. Miami has a history of landing some of the best talent, but now, with what Mario Cristobal has done in entering year five, ground works for a future powerhouse is in place.

The only question now is, can the Canes remain on top and win at the highest level with this new batch of talent?
