The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a Heat Advisory from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today as hot temperatures and high humidity combine to produce heat index values between 103 and 107 degrees. The conditions could lead to heat-related illnesses, especially for those spending extended time outdoors.
Key Biscayne residents venturing outside should drink plenty of fluids, stay in the shade whenever possible and check on relatives, neighbors and other vulnerable individuals.
For today, partly cloudy skies this morning will give way to increasing clouds and periods of showers this afternoon. The high will reach 88 degrees, with SSW winds at 10 to 20 mph.
Tonight, cloudy skies early, then partly cloudy after midnight, with a low around 80 degrees.
Tuesday, hot with a mix of sun and clouds. The high is expected to reach 89 degrees, with south winds at 10 to 20 mph.
