There has been a near drowning today, June 15, at Disney’s Contemporary Resort near Magic Kingdom, according to @WDWActiveCrime on X. The account, which is not affiliated with Disney, monitors and shares police calls in the area.
The near-drowning call came in at 1:10 p.m. today.
Coincidentally, WDWNT had a reporter in the area who saw several emergency vehicles and a medical helicopter taking off.
The call doesn’t say exactly where the incident took place, but the emergency vehicles and helicopter were in front of the resort. This suggests the accident may have occurred in the Seven Seas Lagoon or a nearby small body of water, rather than in the hotel pools or Bay Lake, which are behind Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
