Cox Media Group has named Brian McGhee Vice President and Market Manager for its Jacksonville radio cluster, effective immediately. He succeeds Jimmy Farrell, who recently became Vice President and Market Manager for CMG Miami Radio.

McGhee joins CMG after serving as Director of Sales for Urban One’s Washington, DC, cluster, where he oversaw revenue generation for five stations. His background also includes serving as Market President and Chief Revenue Officer for Townsquare Media in Rockford and General Sales Manager positions with iHeartMedia in Chicago and St. Louis.

Across those roles, McGhee built a reputation for driving revenue growth, expanding client relationships and developing sales talent while leading teams through changing market conditions.

As head of CMG Jacksonville Radio, he will oversee the cluster’s operations with responsibility for audience growth, revenue performance, local brands and community engagement.

“Brian is a strong, people-centered leader with the right mix of sales expertise, operational discipline, and market vision,” CMG Radio President Rob Babin said. “He knows how to build high-performing teams, develop meaningful client relationships, and create momentum.”

McGhee said he was attracted by CMG’s reputation for strong local brands and community service.

“I’m honored to join CMG and to lead the Jacksonville Radio team,” he said. “I’m excited to build on that foundation, work alongside this team, and help drive continued growth in Jacksonville.”
