WARREN COUNTY, Ohio (WXIX) – The body of a 73-year-old man pulled from the Little Miami River in Hamilton Township has been identified by the Warren County coroner.
The remains of Robert Rigdon, of Mason, were recovered from the river Sunday morning.
Chief Quillan Short with the Hamilton Township Police Department said officers were called to the river near Grandin Road around 9:15 a.m. after a body was located in the water.
The police report states the body was found by a kayaker who was fishing in the river.
First responders safely recovered the body from the river, Chief Short said.

After recovering the body, Hamilton Township police were contacted by Mason police, who confirmed they were preparing a missing person’s report for Rigdon, police said.
The cause of death has not yet been determined.
Officers are still investigating.
