Martin County Fire Rescue says a brush fire that sent smoke across the county yesterday is now fully contained.
The fire sparked up in the afternoon in an area near Newfield Boulevard and Citrus Boulevard and charred around 115 acres while firefighters from Martin County and the Florida Forest Service worked to get it under control.
Crews remained on scene overnight to watch for hot spots.
Lightning has been identified as a probable cause for the fire, along with the dry conditions.
