CAPTIVA, Fla. (CBS12) — Florida deputies are asking for the public’s help after an urn was found on a Southwest Florida beach over the weekend.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the urn was discovered on Turner Beach on June 13. Officials did not provide details on how the urn may have ended up at the location, but said efforts are underway to locate its rightful owner.

Authorities are encouraging anyone who may recognize the urn or have information about who it belongs to to come forward. They emphasized the importance of returning the item to the appropriate individual or family.
