Deadly hit and run crash near UF Health Jacksonville – 104.5 WOKV - Florida News Beep

Jacksonville, Fl — WOKV is following a developing story near UF Health Jacksonville, where a deadly hit and run investigation is underway.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened early Monday on 8th Street and Illinois Street.

A woman in her mid-50s was spotted by an officer just before 4:00 am. According to JSO, she had visible injuries consistent with being hit by a vehicle.

Police are seeking witnesses and surveillance video as they work to identify the driver and vehicle that struck the woman.
