A curtain ignited during Evanescence’s show Friday night in Tampa, Florida. The blaze erupted nine songs in at MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre while the band performed “Calm Down” from their sixth studio record.
Pyrotechnics on the right side sparked flames that lit up curtains and stagework. A crew member doused the fire within seconds using what appeared to be a water bottle. The band kept playing, and most concertgoers never noticed that anything went wrong, according to The PrP.
Tampa served as the second stop on the 2026 North American tour, which launched Thursday night at iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Florida. Shows will continue through August 2 in Clarkson, Michigan.
Spiritbox and NovaTwins are opening acts on the North American leg. Poppy will support European dates, with Nova Twins opening outside the U.K. K.Flay, who appears on the “Fight Like A Girl” single, will open U.K. shows and the Red Rocks Amphitheatre concert.
Sanctuary was released on June 5. Fans can purchase the LP as a download, standard CD, deluxe CD, and limited-edition box set. A double vinyl version arrives September 4.
The new single “Who Will You Follow” was co-written and produced by Zakk Cervini and Jordan Fish. Frontwoman Amy Lee told ABC Audio that fans attending the trek can expect “the biggest show we’ve ever had,” according to AOL. She said her main goal with the tour is to “make people happy.”
“I wanna bring some good to this time,” Lee explained. “Give people a place of release, to fill up, to charge up, spiritually, emotionally, and feel empowered when they walk away.”
A European tour runs from early September through early October. The band returns to the U.S. for a one-off gig at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, on October 26.
The band has partnered with PLUS1 so that $1/£1/€1 from every ticket sold will support organizations providing humanitarian aid and medical relief to those in need around the world. All tour dates are listed on the band’s website.
