Authorities are investigating a report of inappropriate conduct between a Jacksonville High School employee and a former student, Jacksonville North Pulaski School District officials said.
District administrators notified the Arkansas Child Abuse Hotline and Jacksonville police after receiving the report and both agencies are investigating it, a news release states. The release doesn’t identify the employee or detail the conduct.
The employee is “off contract” and not on campus while the school is out for summer break, the release states. District officials have not been able to confirm if the incident the report described happened on or off of school property.
“Please understand that, due to privacy laws, personnel matters, and the ongoing nature of these investigations, the District is unable to provide additional details at this time,” the release states.
An attempt to contact a Jacksonville Police Department spokesperson Wednesday morning was unsuccessful.
