TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Much-needed rain has fallen across North Florida and South Georgia over the past few days, and we have more on the way.
A tropical airmass and a front are working together to keep rain chances high today. I am not expecting all day rain, but similar to yesterday, a few waves of showers and storms will be possible through the afternoon.
I can’t rule out a few stronger storms once again, bringing heavy rain and gusty winds, making travel tough at times today.
More rain is on the way tomorrow and to start the weekend.
Tropical Storm Arthur has developed in the western Gulf and is going to bring significant rainfall to our west. Locally, moisture from the tropical storm will help to bring rain totals up to 5 inches over the next 5 days. Most of the rain will fall between today and Friday.
