Actor Faizon Love was arrested in Tampa and charged with two counts of contempt of court, according to jail records.
TAMPA, Fla. — Known for roles in movies like The Elf and Friday, the California-based actor Faizon Love, 58, was placed under arrest in Tampa on Tuesday, jail records show.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Love is currently held at Orient Road Jail, charged with two counts of contempt of court for missing a hearing and providing financial support to Tiffany Lee, the mother of Love’s child.

Court records reviewed by 10 Tampa Bay News indicate that a judge issued an order to bring Love into custody last month “to serve a 90 day sentence for indirect civil contempt of Court,” records show. Love “failed to appear for a hearing which took place on April 8, 2026, and failed to provide a full and complete financial affidavit and supporting documents, both after being specifically ordered to do so.”
Additionally, records state that Love failed to surrender himself to jail on May 1, 2026.
Love’s lawyer, Glen Lansky, filed a motion for extension of time to respond to requests for support by Tiffany Lee, on June 16.
