Sun Broadcasting’s 92.5 FOX News has launched the 11th annual “10,000 for the Troops” campaign, a heartfelt Southwest Florida tradition honoring America’s men and women serving overseas during the holidays.

In partnership with Mel’s Diner and the Military Support Program at Lee Health, the campaign’s goal is simple yet powerful: Collect 10,000 handwritten Christmas cards filled with gratitude and encouragement for deployed U.S. troops worldwide.

“Our mission is to remind every service member spending Christmas far from home that they are not forgotten,” said Jim Schwartzel, Owner of 92.5 FOX News. “Each card carries the spirit of Southwest Florida, a community that believes in service, gratitude, and standing together for those who stand for us.”

Throughout November, listeners are invited to participate by writing a holiday card to a U.S. service member. To meet mailing guidelines, please leave cards unsealed and avoid using glitter, photos, or personal details.

Cards can be dropped off at any Mel’s Diner location across Southwest Florida by Friday, Dec. 6.

In its eleventh year, “10,000 for the Troops” continues to unite schools, veterans, local businesses, and families across Southwest Florida, delivering thousands of personal reminders of home to those who protect our freedom.
