• A 21-year-old Jacksonville man turned himself in to authorities at 4:22 p.m. Wednesday and was arrested on a charge of theft or receipt of goods or services. He was accused of using a credit card June 13 to make purchases without having permission.
• Police were called at 2:38 p.m. Wednesday to the 200 block of West College Avenue for a report someone broke the door to another apartment and was causing a disturbance. The person involved was taken to Jacksonville Memorial Hospital for an unknown medical condition, according to a police report.
• An 18-year-old Jacksonville woman was cited on charges of following too closely and distracted driving after her car and one being driven by a 35-year-old Chapin woman collided at 5:07 p.m. Wednesday in the 1300 block of West Morton Avenue.
• A woman told police she was hit in the face about 12:31 a.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of South Kosciusko Street. Police are investigating.
