TAMPA — Tampa residents are urged to take precaution as the summer heat reaches extreme levels, and if needed, seek relief in any of its cooling stations.

The city on Friday is activating cooling stations for anyone in need of relief from the extreme heat.

Here are the locations:

Barksdale Adult Activity Center – 1801 N. Lincoln Avenue, Tampa, FL 33607
George Bartholomew Center – 8608 N. 12th Street, Tampa, FL 33604
Ragan Park Center — 1200 E Lake Avenue, Tampa, FL 33605
Kate Jackson Community Center — 821 S Rome Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606

Hours of operation at all four stations will be 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. They are open to all residents.
