Construction began on Midpoint Gateway Retail Center, a 7,500-square-foot multitenant retail development at 2675 Del Prado Blvd. S. in Cape Coral. Developed by Benchmark General Contractors, the project will provide space for five businesses and is expected to be completed within eight months. The groundbreaking comes as Benchmark expands its reach beyond Sanibel and Captiva, where the company has concentrated much of its work since Hurricane Ian. GMA Architects and Planners is serving as architect, and Moody Powell Structural Engineers is the structural engineer. Leasing opportunities remain available, with tenants expected to begin occupying the center by year-end.
