The Gulf Specimen Marine Lab shared photos of their latest sea turtle release, sending Bolognese home after a long stay at the lab.
He came in after being cold-stunned in February and was struggling to swim and covered in barnacles.
Bolognese’s release is extra special as it caps off the lab’s Sea Turtle Week.

Their sea turtle program started in 1964 and they have treated over 1,100 turtles in that time.
