• A 26-year-old Jacksonville man was arrested at 12:03 p.m. Thursday in the 200 block of East Morton Avenue on a charge of burglary involving a motor vehicle. He was accused of taking property from a vehicle in the 700 block of Henry Street on June 12.

• Police were called at 1:30 p.m. Friday to a disturbance in the 700 block of East Douglas Avenue involving a report a man choked a woman and stole property. No one was arrested because of conflicting statements, according to a police report.
• Police were called at 12:39 p.m. Friday to a disturbance in the 100 block of West Independence Avenue. Those involved agreed to stop arguing, according to a police report.

• A 17-year-old boy was cited on a charge of driving too fast for conditions after he slid off the road and drove through two fences in the 2000 block of Cedar Street about 11:44 p.m. Friday.
• An 82-year-old South Jacksonville woman was cited on a charge of unsafe backing after her car and one being driven by a 39-year-old South Jacksonville man collided at 7 p.m. Thursday at South Diamond Street and West Morton Avenue.
• A 20-year-old Jacksonville woman was cited on a charge of following too closely after her car and one being driven by a 40-year-old Jacksonville man collided at 5:06 p.m. Thursday in the 1800 block of West Morton Avenue. Two people were taken to Jacksonville Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, according to a police report.
