People jumped out of their seats and joined Winter Garden City Commissioner Chloe Johnson in front of the stage to dance as the Gerry Williams Band performed.
Despite the heat, residents came out to Charlie Mae Wilder Park to listen to music, participate in activities and hear inspirational words during the city’s annual Juneteenth Community Celebration Saturday, June 20.
Renee Jones and Dakota Jones attended the event for the first time, enjoying all it had to offer.
“We’ll be back,” Renee Jones said.
