Even after a weeklong weather delay, the much-anticipated Fourth of July Fundraiser Community BBQ, the Village’s official kickoff to the summer celebration season, did not disappoint.
Held for the first time at the Key Biscayne Civic Center, the community block party featured a kids’ entertainment zone, ice cream, coffee bar, DJ Juan Mejia, the samba sounds of MiamiBloco, guitarist Aaron Lebos and friends and barbecue from award-winning Kendall restaurant Apocalypse.
The event was a collaborative effort between the Key Biscayne Community Foundation, the Fourth of July Parade Committee and the Village of Key Biscayne.
