Jacksonville police are investigating two Sunday night shootings, including one near Lincoln Park injuring three men. Detectives seek information on those involved.
JACKSONVILLE, Texas — Police in Jacksonville are investigating two shooting incidents, including one in the area of a local park that left three men injured, Sunday night.
According to the Jacksonville Police Department, multiple 911 calls reported a shooting in the area of Lincoln Park near MB Davis Drive and Holloway Ave. around 9:35 p.m. Three men were found with gunshot wounds. They were taken to local hospitals for treatment by private vehicles.

Police confirmed the shooting in the area of Lincoln Park was related to an event advertised as “Sunday Funday” at the park.
Then, as officers were responding to that incident and trying to disperse a large crowd, people were gathering in the parking lot of 7-Eleven, located at 202 North Jackson Street. Officers heard reports of shots fired near the area around 10:10 p.m.
Both of these incidents are under investigation, and police say detectives are working to identify those involved and learn more about the circumstances. Those who have any information are asked to call the Jacksonville Police Department at 903-586-2546.
