PORT ST. LUCIE – A 23-year-old Port St. Lucie woman died when she apparently jumped from a pickup truck on I-95 on Nov. 1 at about 1:05 a.m., according to police reports.

Taylor Joan Robert and Harrison Earl, 24, both of Port St. Lucie, were traveling north on I-95 near Gatlin Boulevard in a light green 2017 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Earl when Robert apparently jumped from the moving vehicle, according to police reports.

Robert, who was returning from a Halloween celebration in West Palm Beach with Earl, was on her phone speaking with a friend and told the friend she was going to jump from the truck, according to police reports. Moments later, the phone went dead and it is believed that Robert jumped from the pickup onto the roadway and sustained fatal injuries, according to police reports.

Earl remained on scene and cooperated with investigators.

The investigation is still active and ongoing at this time.
