Hot and humid weather with rain and storms expected in the afternoon – Orlando Sentinel

Rain and thunderstorms are expected later in the afternoon.

Some storms that arrive in the afternoon could shift slowly back toward the coast through the early evening.

There is patchy fog before 8 a.m. for a day that will be otherwise sunny and hot, according to NWS Melbourne.

Temperature highs will be in the low-to-mid 90s and peak afternoon heat index values at 102-107 degrees.

Looking ahead, the week will feature above normal temperatures.

Widespread moderate to major risks for heat will persist throughout the week.
