• A 48-year-old Jacksonville man was booked into the Morgan County jail at 11:39 p.m. Sunday on a warrant accusing him of failing to appear in court on a retail theft charge.

• A 47-year-old Jacksonville man was arrested at 7:59 p.m. Sunday on charges of burglary from a motor vehicle and title/registration offenses.

• A 30-year-old Murrayville man was arrested at 11:43 p.m. Friday on U.S. 67 in Meredosia on charges of driving under the influence, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper display of a license plate, and improper lane use. 

• A generator was stolen this month from the first block of Floyd Road in Waverly, according to a report filed at 2:48 p.m. Thursday.

• A 42-year-old Jacksonville woman was arrested at 1:15 a.m. Monday in the 700 block of East Douglas Avanue on a Morgan County warrant accusing her of failing to appear in court on charges of possession of methamphetamine, receipt of goods or services, and criminal trespassing.

• A 44-year-old Jacksonville woman was arrested at 9:35 a.m. Sunday in the 600 block of East Morton Avenue on a theft charge. She was accused of possessing a stolen item, according to a police report.

• Police were called at 1:01 a.m. Monday to a disturbance in the 700 block of East Douglas Avenue. Those involved agreed to separate, police said.

• Police were called at 6:54 p.m. Sunday to a disturbance in the 600 block of South Diamond Street. Those involved agreed to limit their contact to avoid future issues, according to a police report.

• Police were called at 5:02 p.m. Sunday to a disturbance in the 600 block of South Church Street. Those involved were separated.

• Police were called at 9:44 a.m. Sunday to a disturbance in the 1200 block of Allen Avenue. Those involved were told to stay away from one another.

• A 35-year-old Jacksonville woman was cited on a charge of failing to reduce speed after her car hit a dumpster about 10:48 p.m. Sunday in the 600 block of East State street. The driver told police she had looked at her phone and was unable to stop in time, according to a police report.

• A 36-year-old Murrayville man was cited on a charge of disregarding a stop sign after his car and one being driven by a 20-year-old Jacksonville man collided at 11:09 a.m. Sunday at North East Street and East College Avenue. A 14-year-old girl who was a passenger in one of the vehicles was being taken to the hospital by a family member for examination, according to a police report. 

• Police were called at 10:48 a.m. Sunday to remove a homeless person who was living in a shed in the 800 block of West Morton Avenue. The person agreed to leave without issue, according to a police report.

South Jacksonville Police 

• A 21-year-old Roodhouse man was booked into the Morgan County jail at 9:09 p.m. Saturday on charges of speeding and driving while license is suspended.
