The Dalí Museum will debut Surreal Nature on July 10 inside its Dalí Dome. Seoul-based d’strict created the 360-degree show with its Arte Museum division.
This marks the latest installation after earlier shows on Pink Floyd, Queen, and Salvador Dalí. Arte Museum operates immersive displays across eight countries.
Hank Hine said the production links to the artist’s vision. “Salvador Dalí saw the world in ways no one else could, reimagining nature into something entirely his own — Surreal Nature carries that spirit forward, inviting visitors to experience the natural world made new again,” said Hine, who serves as director for the St. Petersburg institution, in a statement.
“The Dalí Dome has always been a space for art without boundaries, and Surreal Nature extends that vision, offering our community a rare moment of stillness, beauty, and wonder,” Hine said, according to the St. Pete Catalyst.
Two parts make up the show. Ocean pulls guests through underwater scenes with flowing motion and brightness. Land begins with sprouting life before revealing gardens, waterfalls, and woods that end in a bioluminescent jungle where creatures glow.
Museum officials describe the show as a “meditative, yet fantastical escape.” They call it “innovation at the intersection of art, technology, and storytelling.”
The geodesic dome opened in 2023. It rises 45 feet and spans 60 feet.
