The FIFA Fan Festival is temporarily stopping fans from entering the event at Bayfront Park on Monday due to the heat.
Organizers said on social media that fans already at the event should seek shade and stay hydrated due to feels-like temperatures of 110 degrees.
“We are temporarily pausing entry into the park and will not allow additional guests to enter until public safety authorities determine that conditions are safe,” organizers said.
It’s unclear when entry will resume.
This comes as temperature highs in South Florida reach the 90s.
On Sunday, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials reported they responded to 25 heat-related incidents at Miami Stadium. Three of them resulted in transports.
