GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – A new report lists Florida as one of the most dangerous states for pedestrians.
Florida ranks 5th, according to the report from Smart Growth America.
They tracked how many pedestrians died last year.

Adjusted for population, Tampa ranked number eight, Melbourne is 11, Sarasota is 15, Jacksonville is 16, and Orlando is ranked 25.
The metro areas they surveyed were larger than any in our viewing area.
The most dangerous state for pedestrians was New Mexico.
