PORT ST. LUCIE — An evening of compassion and celebration at Tesoro Club brought remarkable results, as SafeSpace’s Third Annual Amethyst Gala raised more than $185,000 to aid survivors of domestic violence.

The signature event took place in the Grand Clubhouse Ballroom during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, bringing together community members, local businesses, and advocates for an evening of awareness and impact.

SafeSpace, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and the only state-certified domestic violence center on the Treasure Coast, has provided more than 500,000 safe nights of shelter to over 40,000 victims and children, created safety and financial plans for hundreds of survivors, and served nearly 1,500 children through specialized programming.

The Gala included a cocktail reception sponsored by the Gabby Petito Foundation and GHO Homes, followed by a formal dinner, live music, dancing, and a live auction. Last year’s sponsors helped raise over 185,000 raised and counting, and this year’s gala surpassed the original goal of $175,000, setting a record for the event.

“We were honored to once again host the Amethyst Gala at Tesoro Club in support of SafeSpace’s vital mission,” said Timothy Jones, managing partner of Tesoro Club. “The evening was a tremendous success — not only did it raise significant funds, but it also brought our community together to help SafeSpace continue providing essential services to those in need.”
