Two people are safe after the boat they were on erupted in flames in the ocean off Broward County on Monday afternoon, officials said.
The fire broke out on the 35-foot vessel that had the two people on board in the water near Dania Beach and Hollywood, Broward Sheriff’s Office Fire Rescue officials said.
Aerial footage from Chopper 6 showed crews from BSO Fire Rescue and Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue spraying water onto the boat, which was engulfed in flames.

The fire was quickly extinguished but the boat appeared to have been destroyed.
The two passengers were taken aboard a U.S. Coast Guard vessel and there were no injuries, BSO officials said.
