An air quality alert has been issued for Miami-Dade County as two brush fires continue to burn thousands of acres across the area.

The fire known as “Quarry 2” is burning east of Krome Avenue. It is 97% contained, but more than 19,000 acres have been burned.

The “Well” fire has burned over 2,000 acres and is 85% contained.
