GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – The Florida Board of Governors will meet on July 1 to decide whether Dr. Stuart Bell will be the permanent president of the University of Florida.
Alan Levine, the chair of the Board of Governors, initially postponed the vote, which had been scheduled for Thursday, over concerns about UF trustees’ Chair Mori Hosseini.
On Monday, the UF trustees made Bell the interim president, replacing Dr. Donald Landry.
Levine now says he is satisfied after having “productive conversations” with UF trustees.
