SEFFNER, Fla. (CBS12) — A Florida man with several out-of-county warrants is behind bars after authorities say he stabbed someone in Hillsborough County on Sunday.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, 19-year-old Drake Purcell stabbed the victim following an argument in the roadway near South Kingsway Road and Magnolia Avenue in Seffner. The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

HCSO says Purcell fled into the woods after the stabbing, where the agency’s aviation unit tracked him down. Aerial video shows Purcell walking toward law enforcement officers with his hands up before he was arrested.

Purcell was booked on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, possession of a controlled substance, battery and three out-of-county warrants.
