ELKO, Nevada (KLTV) – Athens’ Lightning Aguilera and Jacksonville’s Kaden Profili teamed up to win more than $20,000 across three rodeos.
The team ropers competed at the Snake River Stampede in Nampa, Idaho. The duo finished third in the first round with a time of 3.9 seconds to win $3,104. In the second round, Aguilera and Profili finished third with a time of 4.1 seconds to win $2,830. The team won the average with a time of 13.3 seconds, winning $5,888. In the finals, the duo finished second with a time of 5.3 seconds to win $816. At the Strawberry Days Rodeo in Pleasant Grove, Utah, Aguilera and Profili finished third with a time of 4.3 seconds to win $3,046. At the Silver State Stampede in Elko, Nevada, Aguilera and Profili finished first with a time of 4.3 seconds to win $5,184. The duo won a total of $20,868.
Jacksonville team roper Jayse Tettenhorst won $10,762 across three rodeos. At the Strawberry Days Rodeo, Tettenhorst and his teammate Belden Cox finished first with a time of 3.8 seconds to earn $4,315. At Vernal’s Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo in Vernal, Utah, Tettenhorst and Cox finished second with a time of 4.1 seconds to win $4,201. At the Silver State Stampede, the duo finished seventh with a time of 5.0 seconds to win $2,246. he No. 20 team roper in the world has earned $37,745 this season.
Mount Pleasant tie-down roper Kincade Henry won $6,899 at two rodeos. At the Strawberry Days Rodeo, Henry finished eighth with a time of 8.5 seconds to win $1,734. At Vernal’s Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo, Henry finished first with a time of 7.9 seconds to win $5,165. The No. 2 tie-down roper in the world has earned $124,744 this season.
Hallsville steer wrestler Justin Shaffer won $4,528 at two rodeos. At the Snake River Stampede, Shaffer finished fourth with a time of 3.7 seconds to win $2,780. At the Silver State Stampede, Shaffer finished seventh with a time of 4.3 seconds to win $1,748. The No. 25 steer wrestler in the world has earned $38,254 this season.
Van steer wrestler Holden Myers won $3,810 at Vernal’s Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo. He finished second with a time of 3.6 seconds. The No. 2 steer wrestler in the world has earned $88,232 this season.
Malakoff saddle bronc rider Keene Justesen finished second at Weekely Brothers Davie Pro Rodeo in Davie, Florida. Justesen rode “Big Star” and scored 81 points, winning $606. Justesen has earned $10,323 this season.
Mabank team roper Boogie Ray won $188 at the Mesquite Championship Rodeo. Ray and Isaac Gholson finished sixth with a time of 10.4 seconds. Ray has earned $13,162 this season.
