SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – The Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office says it will file criminal charges against Detroit Lions player Terrion Arnold in connection with a February robbery and kidnapping in Tampa.
Prosecutors allege Arnold coordinated and directed others to lure three men to an apartment, where the victims were robbed, beaten and held at gunpoint.
Arnold is facing multiple felony charges, according to the State Attorney’s Office. Prosecutors said the charges carry a potential sentence of up to life in prison.
The case centers on more than $200,000 worth of personal items Arnold believed had been stolen from his Airbnb property, according to the release. Prosecutors said there is no evidence proving the victims were involved in that theft.
The State Attorney’s Office said Arnold reported the missing items to the Largo Police Department just hours before the alleged kidnapping and robbery.

“No one has the right to take the law into their own hands. A dispute over missing property does not justify kidnapping, violence, or retaliation. This arrest is the result of months of investigative work and collaboration between the Tampa Police Department and our prosecutors. We will continue to pursue justice for the three victims by holding everyone accountable for their roles in this crime,” State Attorney Suzy Lopez said.
Prosecutors said additional investigative efforts, including a review of cellphone evidence and corroborating testimony from co-defendants, helped establish Arnold’s alleged role in planning and directing the crimes.
Four co-defendants, Boakai Hilton, Lyndell Hudson, Freddie Lee Hughes III and Christion Williams, are being held without bond in connection with the case, according to the State Attorney’s Office.
Two other co-defendants, Arianna Del Valle and Jasmine Randazzo, pleaded guilty to their roles during a June 24 court hearing.
Randazzo was sentenced to four years in state prison followed by six years of probation. Del Valle entered an open plea, and her sentencing will be set for a later date, prosecutors said.
As part of the plea agreements, prosecutors said Del Valle and Randazzo are required to testify truthfully in any future proceedings related to the case.
The State Attorney’s Office said it will file a pretrial detention motion seeking to have Arnold held until trial. Prosecutors said they plan to argue he remains a danger to the community.
That hearing has not yet been set.
