Fun Spot is closing its Atlanta location, the company announced Thursday. The final day of operation will be Aug. 2.
The Fun Spot locations in Kissimmee and in Orlando near International Drive, known for go-karts and thrill rides, will remain open.
“This was an extremely difficult decision,” John Arie Jr., chief executive officer of Orlando-based Fun Spot America, said in a news release.
“Our Atlanta team has poured their hearts into serving our guests and creating a place where families could have fun together. We are deeply grateful for their dedication and for the support we have received from the Fayetteville community,” he said.
The Georgia attraction, located in about 25 miles south of Atlanta in Fayetteville, was called Fun Junction USA until taken over by Fun Spot in 2017. Its most notable addition since then was the ArieForce One roller coaster, a Rocky Mountain Construction project that opened in 2023. The coaster’s price tag was set at $13 million when the ride was announced.
Season passes and gift cards will be valid at the Atlanta park through the final day and will continue to be honored at Fun Spot’s Orlando and Kissimmee locations.
