FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — Two men were arrested in connection with a $10,000 theft from a local business in Fort Pierce.
The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office (SLCSO) said its Patrol Operations Bureau and Criminal Investigations Division worked together to arrest Ernesto Artiles, 54, and Maykel Garcia Izada, 46, after $10,000 in materials were reported stolen from The Porch Factory.
The sheriff’s office said authorities responded to the scene on October 30 and detectives conducted interviews and collected evidence that led to the identification and arrest of Artiles and Izada.

According to the post, Artiles of Fort Pierce faces grand theft involving property valued between $5,000 and $10,000. His alleged accomplice, Izada of Port St. Lucie, faces grand theft involving property valued between $750 and $5,000.
During the course of the investigation, detectives said they recovered a portion of the stolen materials at one of the suspect’s residences. The recovered items have since been returned to the business.
