TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – These pups are more than ready to celebrate their freedom and their new families for Independence Day!
A whopping 32 dogs – and 49 cats – were adopted during the shelter’s recent Petco Love Mega Florida Pet Adoption event – including three of our Furry Friday pups!
WCTV and the Tallahassee Animal Service Center team up each week to spotlight four adoptable dogs in hopes of helping them find their fur-ever homes faster!
Here are the dogs we are featuring this week:
MEET BUTCH
Butch is ready to jump into the arms and hearts of a fur-ever family that’s as active and affectionate as he is!(WCTV)

He was SO excited to get out of his kennel and make new friends!
Butch has a huge smile.
He loves to run and play.
He’s into plush toys, canine companions and scratches galore.
Butch was found wandering near Tom Brown Park.

Bandit is active and affectionate and can’t wait to find a family that excels at both!
Bandit is into squeaky toys and playtime and he wound up at the shelter when his owner lost their home, but he’s house trained, crate trained and ready to flash those eyes and that smile for his next true love – maybe it’s you!

MEET MIRANDA
Miranda loves to follow her nose and keep up a brisk pace.(WCTV)

This humble hound dog is right at home in the great outdoors, soaking up the sights and sounds and smells.
Miranda loves to follow her nose and keep up a brisk pace.
The shelter makes her nervous so she’s ready for a peaceful home – no sudden moves or loud noises please – with a big backyard to enjoy and explore.
Miranda would also love it if her best friend Kacey could come too. The two came in together as strays, snuggle up together in the same kennel and seem to share a strong bond.
Miranda can’t wait to find a peaceful, patient family who will give her the love and time she needs to relax and shine.

This demure darling is looking for a family that’s peaceful, patient and kind.
Kacey is a nervous nellie … easily startled …with her tail tucked … until she discovers she can trust you. But it may take a minute. Don’t take it personally – it’s not you.
Kacey came into the shelter as a stray with her best friend Miranda. The two of them share a kennel and seem to share a strong bond.
She likes other dogs and would love the opportunity to get settled and come out of her shell!

MEET AND GREET
You can meet these dogs and dozens more awaiting adoption at the Tallahassee Animal Service Center. It’s located across from Tom Brown Park at 1125 Easterwood Drive in Tallahassee.
You can walk through the kennels Tuesday through Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and can also visit by appointment the rest of the week from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
