Candidate Interview: Eric Strazzeri running for Mayor in Port St. Lucie

Port St. Lucie, Fla. — Political newcomer Eric Strazzeri has entered the race for mayor of Port St. Lucie, calling himself an outsider candidate at a pivotal moment for one of Florida’s fastest-growing cities.

Strazzeri is a combat veteran and says his campaign is focused on accountability, transparency, and restoring public trust in local government.

Voters will first weigh in at the polls on the mayoral candidates on August 20; If a candidate gets 51 %, the race is over, otherwise two finalists proceed to the General Election in November.

Port St. Lucie finds itself at a crossroads as rapid population growth continues to reshape the community. Residents and business owners are dealing with major obstacles in their everyday lives; like traffic and garbage pick-up, and Strazzeri talked about those issues when he visited ARC FL for a live interview.
