Pianist and composer Simon Lasky got support last year, and in response, he created new works meant for New York musicians including saxophonist Lucas Pino, trumpeter Dave Smith, drummer Jimmy MacBride, and bassist Peter Slavov. On vocals for Lasky’s New York Quintet is his frequent collaborator, Allison Nash.

The troupe lets New Tampa get a taste of its fruit on Wednesday before a set at Palladium on Thursday.

Tickets to see the Simon Lasky New York Quintet featuring Allison Nash at New Tampa Performing Arts Center in Tampa on Wednesday, July 1 are still available and start at $30.
