Cape Coral super speeder drove 100+ mph in a 50 mph zone, police say

A Cape Coral man was arrested after police say he was driving 102 mph in a posted 50 mph zone.

According to an arrest report, officers with the Cape Coral Police Department were patrolling on Veterans Parkway at around 10:56 p.m. Wednesday evening. The report says they noticed a vehicle approaching quickly, going westbound.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, and the driver, Sebastian Valero-Sirvent, 37, was arrested.

Valero-Sirvent faces a charge under Florida’s Super Speeder law.
