TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Big Bend Hospice celebrated the grand opening of its second retail thrift store with a ribbon-cutting in Tallahassee on Friday.
“Opening a second location on North Monroe Street has really shown the impact of the community,” Oak Tree Treasures Retail Operations Manager Chloe Bassham said.
The first Oak Tree Treasures location opened in January 2025, and Bassham said having a second store is a big milestone.

Oak Tree Treasures offers furniture, art, clothes, books, and a range of other household and personal items. Store sales directly support Big Bend Hospice to continue providing end-of-life care.
“When you’re shopping at Oak Tree Treasures, you’re directly impacting Big Bend Hospice patients and families,” Bassham said. “The vital programs like the veteran services and the music therapy and the animal therapy, which not only help the patients, but help the families as well.”
Oak Tree Treasures is always accepting gently-used donations to help keep the shelves fully stocked, and most store operations are run by volunteers.
The newest location is at 3802 North Monroe Street. Both stores are open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
