Officials responded to reports of an alligator attack in Seminole County on Sunday afternoon, according to the Seminole County Fire Department. SCFD said a woman was swimming with a group of friends in the Little Big Econ River at Bar Street Trailhead in Geneva.The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission also responded to the scene near the Econlockhatchee River. At this time, officials said they cannot confirm the victim’s identity, but they said she was transported to a nearby hospital as a trauma alert. FWC has been dispatched to locate the alligator.
