After weeks of declining prices, Miami drivers are seeing a slight increase at the pump, with the average price of regular gasoline rising 12.6 cents per gallon over the past week.
According to GasBuddy’s survey of 1,690 stations in Miami, the average price of regular gasoline now stands at $3.82 per gallon. Even with the weekly increase, prices remain 38.1 cents lower than a month ago, though they are still 85.9 cents higher than a year ago.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Miami on Sunday was selling regular gasoline for $3.09 per gallon. Key Biscayne meanwhile, had the area’s highest reported price, with both Island gas stations charging $5.49 per gallon for regular gasoline—a difference of $2.40 per gallon.
Nationally, the average price of gasoline fell 6.9 cents per gallon over the last week, averaging $3.78 as of Monday, June 29.
“Average gasoline prices fell in 46 states over the last week, with diesel declining in 49, pushing the national average to its lowest level since mid-March,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.
